The Body Shop Camomile Makup Remover

IMG_9444The key to prevention of breakouts is definitely ensuring that you remove all the makeup off your skin before going to bed at night, and giving your beautiful skin a chance to breathe. I have tried all different types of makeup removers, but these have been my favorite for the past two years or so. Today I will be reviewing both the Camomile Body Shop Sumptuous Cleansing Butter and the Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover.

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

I first heard about this a while back when I was looking for a dupe of the Clinique Take off the day balm. I really wanted something soft, buttery and soothing to remove my makeup at the end of the day, instead of wiping away makeup with makeup wipes, which can strip your face of its natural oils. After watching Lisa Eldridge’s facial massage video, and looking a little bit deeper into balms, I decided to give this one a go. This was amazing! It was extremely soft, buttery and glided on so smoothly on my skin. I applied this on my full face of makeup and then washed my makeup right off. After the first rinse, I usually go over my face one more time with this balm, but this time to give my face a massage that will help plump it and help stimulate blood flow. This was so calming and removed every bit of my makeup, without irritating my skin one bit. I got all mom and all my friends on it and I have been using it for two years now.In my opinion, this is an affordable dupe Clinique Take Off The Day Balm.

Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

The Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover

After using the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter for a year, I decided to give another member of the family member a go. This is an eye make-up remover that claims to be suitable for sensitive skin. It has a very thin like water consistency and contains camomile extract which is known for its soothing agents. It is just like any makeup remover, but for me personally, this didn’t meet my expectations. It burned my eyes a little and caused a bit of redness, which is not what I personally prefer, considering that my eyes are sensitive. It removed my eye makeup, okay, but I personally prefer micellar water, because I find it more gentle on my skin. Overall it is a good product if you don’t have extremly sensitive eye, but the camomile butter cleanser is the winner in my opinion.
