Beauty Foods for Your Skin

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! In today’s post, we will be talking all about foods that nourish the skin and give you that glow from within look. As I mentioned in so many other posts, skin care starts internally, what you feed your body will reflect on you physically.

Blueberries, blueberries & more blueberries

Blueberries are rich in anti-oxidants, which are great detox helpers. They are packed with vitamin C, Vitamin E and vitamin A which aid in collagen production, fight free radicals in the body and helps the detoxification process of toxins. With all that being said they also help in regulating hormones, therefore reducing skin breakouts.  Blueberries are like a natural glow pill!

Lemon Water

I am not going to rave on about the importance of water because I am sure it is shoved down into your by your dermatologist, mom and beauty blogs. But do you know what is better than water for your skin? Lemon water, lemons contain vitamin C, adding them to your water in the morning will help flush toxins out , regulate the digestive system and help your skin produce more collagen. Try hot water and lemon in the morning and thank me later (or whoever discovered this remedy)!

Green all the way

In marketing, I learned that in order to promote anything healthy, green is the most catchy color. This is no coincidence. The healthiest foods on the planet are that of mother nature, green and good! Adding in greens means that you are getting beta-carotene, which is amazing for repairing and renewing the skin.

Pomegranates

Packed with polyphenol antioxidants these little colorful balls, fight free radicals and also help in regulating the blood flow in the body. Although they are pretty tiny, they are packed with water that will help hydrate the skin and nourish the body. Overall they are sweet and beneficial, what more could I ask for?

Thanks everyone for tuning in, I hope you found this blog post a little bit inspiring and helpful! Don’t forget to follow my blog for more posts like this!
